About Paula Stirewalt
My name is Paula, I grew up with horses and have been in the equine industry for 25+ years working and competing in a variety of disciplines both English and Western. I received my Equine Sports Massage Certification in 2010 from Equissage in VA, and found massage and bodywork to be a valuable compliment to good horsemanship and effective communication. My goal every time I work with a horse is to make sure that I am listening, paying attention, and providing that animal with what it needs. I love helping owners connect with the horse and gain the confidence they need to have a safe and relaxing relationship with their equine.
Colorado is my home and has been all my life, my favorite way to see all this great state has to offer is from the back of a horse. I have found some amazing places to ride here, and love sharing the joy of the trail with others. I have found that many people love to do the same, but sometimes just don't know where to start. I like to make my main focus to be building a solid trail horse and helping others develop a safe relationship with their horse so they can enjoy all the beauty these great mountains have to offer.
I never stop learning, some of my favorite mentors who offer a tremendous amount of knowledge to the equine community and have a huge variety of easily accessible information out there include; Martin Black, Ty Evans, Buck Brannaman, Pat Puckett, Cody Deering, Mark Rashid... and the list goes on. I am always happy to share other places where I have gained knowledge.
